Directors Professional Education Package.
Ann-Maree Moodie was a contributor to the development of CCH's Directors Educational Package, authoring a boardroom thriller. The fictional component within the package vividly illustrates the issues faced by directors today.

The training covers:
- Director's Duties - relevant sections in corporation's law and companies law, including contract law and intellectual property issues
- Meetings - directors, general and special, including procedures, responses and conduct
- Corporate Governance and Risk Management issues, including ethics, environmental consideration, strategic direction
- Trade Practices - misleading, deceptive and fair trading
- Financial Reporting - disclosures to the public, financiers, ASX, signs of distress, assessing company performance
Following are some comments based around the construction of the CCH Directors Professional Educational Package (DPEP) that explain why CCH was seeking someone with Ann-Maree Moodie's particular combination of journalism, writing, and analysis skills.
"CCH sought to create a package of training materials for directors. The critical factor was a learning model that allowed easy access to some very complex issues and a way for directors to navigate the both broad and deep range of key subjects required for good corporate governance.
The solution was found through the idea of a corporate thriller. The concept required the creation of a fictional board that would confront real world issues. Each module of the learning would require further plot twists and turns to both keep the directors interested and to ensure that the experiences they would and do face were accurately reflected.
Ann-Maree was an ideal author of our corporate thriller bringing a variety of writing skills and experiences that would be required to keep our readers hooked. With an understanding of corporate governance and the concerns of Australian boards, Ann-Maree was able to construct a story that our directors are able to identify with, while ensuring they remained interested in the outcome of the challenges this board would confront.
During the review process we found a great interest in our corporate thriller from both within CCH and the industry professionals undertaking reviews, pilot and user testing. It has given the content life and what is a complex and challenging learning environment a unique manner with which to engage.
The broader package includes 6 online learning modules (that contain the corporate thriller), as well as reference and user guides. Like many technology led initiatives it remains the content that drives the value proposition for the market. Ann-Maree's corporate thriller has been a critical part this package."
